LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Officials with the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport say it's going to be a rather busy Memorial Day weekend.
Over 23,000 passengers are expected to use the airport during Friday through Monday. Officials say the number is down one percent from Memorial Day weekend last year. 7,550 are expected to go through the terminal Friday.
Since Jan. 1, passenger traffic at Clinton National remains at 10 percent higher than 2011.
TSA reminds passengers to remember the 3-1-1 rule for carrying liquids, gels and aerosols through the checkpoint:
3 ounce bottles or less for all liquids, gels and aerosols placed in
1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag
1 bag per passenger placed separately in a security bin for screening.
Only one, quart plastic bag is allowed per person. The liquid restriction applies only to carry-on bags. Passengers may still pack larger quantities of liquids and gels in checked baggage. More information is available on the TSA website at www.tsa.gov.
