FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Two Arkansas women told authorities they had run-ins with a man they met online shortly before the man was accused of killing a 16-year-old girl he met on a social networking site.
The Times Record reports Sunday that one of the women said Lloyd Jones asked her what she would do if he attacked her. The other woman said Jones asked if she had told anyone when they were meeting.
Jones pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder after Angela Allen's body was found in a blue, plastic barrel on his relative's land.
He was being held on $1 million bond and is scheduled to go on trial next month. Jones had been appointed a public defender, but the office was closed Sunday.
