LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It's a once in a lifetime experience that you'll literally never get a chance to see again.

Venus is in transit today, which means it will cross the face of the sun, as viewed from Earth.

NASA says transits like this are very rare. In fact, they happen in pairs about once a century. The last Venus transit was in 2004, and after today, it won't happen again until 2117. The celestial event started Tuesday evening.
