NORTH LITTLE ROCK Ark. (KTHV) -- From Walt Disney collectables to fur coats, each item connected to a memory for members of Jennings Osborne's family. But now they'll become memories for other families as thousands of items are being auctioned off.
Day three is in the books for the Osborne family auction. Thousands of personal items from the family auctioned off to new homes today. The auction has thousands of items, from crystal glass to rugs and furniture, even sport memorabilia. It all started at 9 Friday morning, hundreds came out to the warehouse at inviting company to take a look at some of the late philanthropist Jennings Osborne's belongings.
More than 500 items were auctioned off to help the family pay off debt. Osborne collected many items; at the auction were pin ball machines, extravagant furniture and lots of jewelry. Also at the warehouse, hundreds of pictures of celebrities autographed. And of course Osborne, a huge Elvis fan, had lots of memorabilia up for auction.
Jane Ginn is from North Little Rock and says many of these items are one of a kind.
"There are so many autographed pictures, and some of them were their friends, a lot of the political pictures and I knew they were friends so I hate that they had to let go of those, so that made me sad, but they were so famous and well liked that there's lots of things to look at."
The auction will start again Saturday morning at 9:00 in North Little Rock
