LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV)-- Several hundred Arkansans gathered together at the Capitol, fearful their religious freedom is in jeopardy.

They're not alone.  In fact, people across the country held similar rallies opposing governmental policies they say threaten their religions. Leaders in the community spoke on what religious freedom means and to whom it applies.

Pastor Mark Evans from Church at Rock Creek explains this is not faith-based, but rather an American celebration of religious liberty, "It takes all of us, both liberal and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, just to work together to protect our freedom. It's not about faith, it's about having the same freedom.

State Senator Missy Irvin served as master of ceremonies and welcomed guest speakers including former congressional candidate Beth Anne Rankin.
