AUSTIN, Ark. (KTHV) - A couple is arrested in Austin after police search home in narcotics investigation.

Police say Adam Clark, 28, and Taylor Caravella, 24, were arrested Friday after Austin police chief John Staley conducted a "knock and talk" after receiving information of suspected drug activity in their home.

Police say Clark and Caravella admitted to having drug paraphernalia and allowed Chief Staley to search the home.

Police say the home was in disarray, and Chief Staley located 100 used syringes, 20 burnt spoons with residue, and four Oxymorphone pills. All were seized.

According to police, the couple's 6-year-old child was also in the home, but was released to the grandmother. Clark and Caravella were arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a minor.

The couple is being held in the Lonoke County Detention Center on separate $2,500 bonds.
