DIAMOND CITY (AP) - The U.S. Geological Survey recorded a small earthquake near Diamond City in northwestern Arkansas.
The Survey reported the 2.3 preliminary magnitude quake was recorded just before 9 p.m. Thursday five miles northeast of Diamond City. No injuries were reported - geologists said earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3 are generally the smallest felt by humans.
Diamond City is on a peninsula at Bull Shoals Lake near the Missouri state line and about 55 miles southeast of Springfield, Mo.
