BEEBE, Ark. (KTHV) -- Meteorologist Tom Brannon was live in Beebe Tuesday (6/12) morning collecting cereal for the Summer Cereal Drive.
For the last 12 years, 'Today's THV This Morning' and the Arkansas Foodbank, in partnership with local businesses, groups, schools and individuals have teamed up during the summer months by providing healthy breakfast options for children and families in central Arkansas who would otherwise go without the most important meal of the day - breakfast.
The Summer Cereal Drive provides hungry Arkansans with non-perishable breakfast items that are both nutritious and kid-friendly. This year, our focus is on providing a nutritious breakfast featuring quality breakfast cereals!
Tuesday, citizens of Beebe donated 9,034 boxes of cereal! That's up 2,550 boxes from last year. Thank you so much, Beebe!
All the cereal collected will be donated to a local food pantry.
