HARRISON, Ark. (KTHV) - A teen in Boone County is under arrest for sexually assaulting a child.
Sheriff Danny Hickman says June 6 the Boone County Sheriff's Office got a sexual assault report involving a 3-year-old girl.
While at a local shelter for abused children, Grandma's House, the girl says a 13-year-old boy touched her sexually.
The Sheriff's Office talked to the teen and authorities say the teen admitted to touching the girl and making the girl touch him.
The teen is charged with second degree felony sexual assault. Because of the teen's age and the fact a safety plan had been put in place, he was released to the custody of his parents.
