LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Authorities are on the scene of an apartment fire at Markham and University in Little Rock.
Little Rock Fire Department received the call around 8:00 p.m. Monday. Authorities on scene at the mult-story Plaza Towers say the residents have been evacuated, and several injuries have been reported.
When the first crews arrived, two apartments were fully-involved with fire.
Capt. Randy Hickman with the Little Rock Fire Department says, "We had one critical patient, and we're going to have West Markham shut down for another two hours."
The patient in critical condition is believed to have been in an adjoining apartment.
Capt. Hickman says the fire is out at this time. Approximately 200 people were evacuated from the apartment building.
