LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Two people are indicted on federal charges for allegedly making child porn.

Shannon Marie Adams, 42 of Searcy, and Don Ray Harris, 57 of Heber Springs, were indicted June 6 on one count of production of child pornography, and Harris was also charged with one count possession of child pornography.

The investigation started when someone told the Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss about an incident involving Harris and a minor female. Authorities say on Oct. 31 of 2011, the girl was taken to Harris' home by Adams to have the girl engage in sexually explicit conduct so they could take pictures of it.

"The crimes perpetrated against this victim are reprehensible," said Raymond R. Parmer Jr., special agent in charge of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New Orleans. "For a few moments of perverse pleasure, these defendants have inflicted psychological scars on an innocent child that could last a lifetime. HIS will continue to work with our law enforcement partners like the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office to aggressively investigate those who prey upon our children." Parmer oversees HIS activities in Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

If convicted, Harris and Adams both face a possible sentence of not less than 15 to not more than thirty years of incarceration and/or $250,000 fine with not less than 5 years up to a lifetime of supervised release.
