LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - An Arkadelphia man wants a federal judge to deny a motion to stay his lawsuit against Ticketmaster until the proposed settlement of a lawsuit against the company over ticket fees in California is approved.

In a response filed Friday, lawyers argued the settlement doesn't pertain to Corey McMillan's case or address its claims.

McMillan sued Ticketmaster after he said he was charged nearly $50 in fees to buy four tickets to a country music concert. He alleges Ticketmaster violated Arkansas' law on deceptive trade practices.

Ticketmaster attorneys argued a California state court certified a nationwide class of customers that includes McMillan and other Arkansas customers. But McMillan's attorney, Todd Turner, said McMillan isn't a named party in that case.

A spokesperson for Ticketmaster didn't immediately return a request for comment.
