LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Two small earthquakes have been recorded in northeastern Arkansas.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 1.8-magnitude quake occurred around 3:03 a.m. Friday about 4 miles northwest of Strawberry in Lawrence County. A 2.2-magnitude quake was recorded around 8:23 a.m. about 3 miles south of Brookland in Craighead County.
Dispatchers in both counties said they weren't aware of injuries or damage from the earthquakes.
Geologists say earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest felt by humans.
