COLT, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a tree trimmer who was working in northeast Arkansas died in a 40-foot fall earlier this week.
The St. Francis County Sheriff's Office told the Forrest City Times-Herald (http://bit.ly/MShdSA) Friday that Lloyd Boyd was cutting tree limbs on a county road near Colt when the boom truck in which he was riding broke.
Officials said on Wednesday, Boyd was in the bucket of the boom truck, which was extended so he could reach the tree limbs. At some point, the arm of the boom broke and Boyd fell to the ground.
