LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Occupy Little Rock, back in action downtown today, protesting for economic fairness.
The protest started at the corner of Broadway and Capitol around 11:30 a.m. and focused on America's financial situation. Marching down Capitol and ending at the Bank of America, some participants nearly barricaded the entrance to the bank door.
Occupy Caravan also took part in the event. They're traveling across the country and focusing on the injustice of large banks. Michael Leviten says, "We're saying economic justice-- accountability-- what happened to old American values of fairness, equality under the law and accountability? While some people are able to get away with billions stealing and continue to profit those billions while the rest of us are out of homes and jobs without futures."
Occupy Caravan started on the west coast and will end in Philadelphia on July fourth at an Occupy National gathering.
Occupy Little Rock is still planning to relocate soon.
