LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A new business along South Main Street are rejuvenating the downtown area.
Among the newest additions is from the magazine: Oxford American. The publisher, Warwick Sabin, received a $290,000 grant last week to help boost the area into an "arts district."
Sabin said they plan to add a restaurant and entertainment venue in the building.
"It's going to be an Oxford American-branded southern restaurant showcasing the best of southern food and also a cultural entertainment venue. We'll have literary readings, musical performances, film screenings, dramatic showcases. It's really all the best of southern culture under one roof that will hopefully be a tourist destination," Sabin said.
Currently the Oxford American offices are in the renovated portion of the building. The goal is to open the public facility by January of 2013.
