EAST HARTFORD, CT (CNN/WTNH) -- Calls to 9-1-1 are supposed to be for life-threatening emergencies. This is not one of them.
Dispatchers say a man in East Hartford, Connecticut dialed dispatchers because he was unhappy with service at a deli.
Part of the call goes like this:
CALLER: "And they giving me a hard time with (indistinct) -- stop by and just -- um"
DISPATCHER: "Who is this? You're calling 9-1-1 because you don't like the way that they're making your sandwich?"
CALLER: "Exactly."
DISPATCHER: "So don't buy it!"
The deli's owner says police arrived a short time later and talked with the man. It's unclear whether the caller was cited or arrested.
