Military plane crashes at Indonesia compound

JAKARTA, Indonesia (CNN) -- An Indonesian Air Force plane, Focker 27, crashed at the air force compound in Jakarta on Thursday, killing at least ten people, including three civilians living near the airport, an Indonesian military officer said.

The officer of the Indonesian air force, Agung, told CCTV that seven people of the plane crew and three civilians in houses hit by the plane were killed. Another 12 injured civilians are receiving treatments in hospital at present, according to Agung.

In addition, eight houses were damaged to various degrees in the accident. Witnesses said that the plane broke into three parts and evacuation was underway.
