UNDATED (CNN) -- Earvin "Magic" Johnson isn't just a hall-of-fame basketball legend. He's also a successful businessman who's developed an empire of movie theaters, fitness centers, and owns a stake in the Los Angeles dodgers.
And now he's looking to become a media mogul. Johnson is launching a new basic cable network today.
It's called "Aspire," and it will highlight the positive achievements of the African-American community.
The family-friendly programming will feature movies, music and comedy.
