LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia disorders, affecting as many as 5 million Americans. That includes over 100,000 Arkansans. 

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, degenerative disease that attacks the brain and results in impaired memory, thinking, and behavior.  

On this Medical Monday, Today's THV is playing an advocacy role in shedding light on a disease that steals from both patients and their loved ones. 

THV's Ashley Blackstone sat down with Priscilla Pittman of Alzheimer's Arkansas on 'Today's THV This Morning' to talk about a new program called Memory Cafe. 

Every 3rd Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. Alzheimer's Arkansas and Starbucks will be offering the opportunity for individuals who are experiencing memory loss, along with their family members to gather informally.
