LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) Two pen pals meet for the first time Saturday after more than 30 years. Laura Pritchett greeted her pen pal, Grow, and her family from Norway.
It's the first time they've seen and spoken to each other. The two started writing to each other in 1979 through the Teen Beat magazine when writing to pen pals was popular.
And over the years they've written letters, emails, and sent Christmas gifts.
"I lost my mom in 2009, three years ago, and my mom enjoyed the letters. Every Christmas, Grow would send my mom a Christmas present. She called her Miss Doras," says Pritchett.
