SWEETWATER, Tenn. (CNN/WVLT) -- Like to play in the mud? Then you'll love the Redneck Resort Mud Park which just opened in Sweetwater, Tennessee. It includes several campgrounds, mud pits for your off-road vehicles, a mud swimming hole and even a hillbilly playground.
Chloe Darragh says, "We got mud, we got dirt. We've got everything. We've got 4-wheelers, ATVs. People having a good ole time."
And having a good ole time seems to be what it's all about. Jason Griffith says, "It's big fun, man, it's big fun. It's a little hot, but big fun. We all just dig these big trucks. That's what it's all about. I seen it on the internet so I had to come check it out."
This venue stands out as a unique opportunity for adventure tourism. Zach Poteet says, "It's just something a little bit different. Really ain't many places around here to do all this."
Joleen Darragh, co-owner Redneck Resort, says, "There's really no place to have a social gathering like this and have fun with all those kind of vehicles. We know people around here love to do that kind of thing so we wanted to provide a venue for that to happen."
But it's not just about the trucks. There also is a 240 foot slip 'n slide and every great event needs a mud girl. Darragh says, "I am a Mud Girl. I go around and get people to come to the swimming hole. And just to stir up the fun."
And fun is something that is certainly being had. Griffith says, "We're just having a good ole time in East Tennessee playing in the mud."
The resort plans to be open just eight times a year, a weekend at a time.
