CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - Faculty members at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway have gotten one raise in the last four years and are looking to boost their incomes.

UCA Faculty Senate President Kevin Browne said Tuesday that a 2.08 percent raise in 2010 was not enough to keep up with inflation.

UCA President Tom Courtway says the school spent too much out-of-pocket for capital improvements, which led to an extended budget crunch. But Courtway says he wants to see faculty salaries increase.

The Log Cabin reports (http://is.gd/gYvTLL ) Browne says popular professors are looking elsewhere for work and that would dilute the faculty.
