NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - According to the North Little Rock Electric Department's Facebook page, the Murray Hydroelectric Power Plant will be shut down beginning July 9 for maintenance.
Officials say customers' electricity will not be bothered by this maintenance, but parts of Cooks Landing Road will be closed for at least three weeks for safety.
Cooks Landing Road spans across the plant connected to a small jetty and parking lot, and then into the Arkansas River.
Traffic in and out of the Big Dam Bridge will not be affected.
