KENTVILLE, NOVA SCOTIA (CNN)-- One call to the wrong number happened to save a 77-year-old woman's life. Stephen Dykens was driving home to drop off his dog when he received a call from a unknown number.

On the other end was Eileen O'Hara who is blind and suffers from lung and brain cancer. O'Hara was scared and pleading for help, she believed that she was having a stroke.

Receiving her address Dykens realized to his surprise that he was just minutes from the location.

Rushing to the womans door Dykens says, "I just sort of bent down on my knee and had my hand on her leg and just kind of you know tried to talk calmly and assure her that help was on the way."

O'Haras' daughter says words are not enough and hopes to meet Dykens and thank him in person.
