FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Two Arkansas baseball players who were selected in the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft didn't sign contracts before the deadline.
Officials say pitcher Randall Fant and outfielder Jacob Morris hadn't inked agreements with the Cleveland Indians by 4 p.m. Friday. The Indians picked Fant in the 29th round and Morris went in the 37th round.
Razorbacks officials say Arkansas signees Teddy Stankiewicz and Colin Poche didn't sign contracts either. The New York Mets chose Stankiewicz in the second round and Poche went in the fifth round to the Baltimore Orioles.
Fant pitched in 15 games for the Razorbacks and had a 2-3 record with a 3.27 ERA. Morris played in 52 games before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the season. He had three homers and 23 RBIs.
