LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Despite the recent rains, many of Arkansas' counties are still under a burn ban.

As of Monday July 16, 16 counties do not have a burn ban. They are:

- Arkansas
- Ashley
- Boone
- Bradley
- Calhoun
- Chicot
- Cleveland
- Columbia
- Desha
- Grant
- Marion
- Miller
- Mississippi
- Monroe
- Polk
- Sevier (enacted burn ban at noon Monday)

This means burning of any kind is strictly prohibited. Many fires in recent weeks have been started by fireworks as well ahead of the Fourth of July.
