LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A Little Rock shopping center is on guard after a pharmacy robbery and the suspect still on the run. And Today's THV now has surveillance pictures of the man police are looking for in this case.

The pharmacy owner actually declined to an interview with us, saying he wasn't ready to speak with the media about this case. But some of his neighboring businesses did talk to us Tuesday night, saying while they're not necessarily panicking, they're still on high alert and keeping a closer eye around the store.

It's another checkout for the day at the Beauty Gallery. It's part of the normal routine here with Security Director Paul Mitchell standing guard as usual. But this week his routine is changing.

"We are now on very high alert," Paul Mitchell said.

The store is on high alert after a robbery at the nearby Medic Pharmacy on Friday. On Tuesday, police released pictures of the suspect just before the incident.

"I did hear a gun shot and I didn't know where it came from until I stepped outside," Mitchell said.

Police say that gun shot came from the pharmacy shopkeeper who fired after the suspect jumped the counter and said he had a gun but never displayed it.  The man left with an unknown amount of pills; it remains unclear if he actually took a bullet.

"I normally patrol the building on the inside and outside very closely, now we're mostly patrolling the inside of the building and we're staying as close to the front door as we possibly can," Mitchell said.

He's keeping a stronger eye on the traffic flow in and out, so his store doesn't become a crime scene.

"We're mostly trying to make sure that the customers here and the visitors and the staff has a very good place to work, a very safe place to work," Mitchell said.

We also talked to a hair salon near the pharmacy and a worker there told us that she's locking the door now when there are only a few people inside. A clothing store right next to the pharmacy, however, says they're not doing anything as a result.

Authorities say the suspect in his 20's to 30's and you should call them if you have any information on his whereabouts.
