LITTLE ROCK, Ark (KTHV)- Celebrate Root Cafe's First Anniversary Saturday With a Potluck Party.
The Root Cafe is celebrating a year of serving a locally sourced menu on Saturday July 21st.
The restaurant is located at 1500 Main St. in Little Rock and the party will run from 4-8pm.
Saturday's visitors can enjoy barbecue pork shoulder from Falling Sky Farm and vegetarian barbecue tofu. Bring a side dish, bread, dessert or beverage.
Plates, cups and napkins will be provided.
The restaurant's mission is to build community through local food. The menu includes burgers, bratwurst, sandwiches, soups, salads, pies and pastries made with fresh seasonal ingredients sourced from small farms in the area.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be free. Diamond Bear beer -- recently added to the menu, along with daily breakfast, coffee drinks and all-day Sunday
Cafe hours are 7 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.
