11 record highs set Saturday in Arkansas, 3 tied

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service reports 11 record high temperatures for July 21 were recorded across Arkansas and three other record highs were tied. 

The new record highs recorded Saturday range from 99 degrees to 109 degrees. They were recorded at Cabot, Morrilton, Nimrod Dam, Dardanelle, Malvern, Alum Fork, Batesville, Nashville, Leola, Murfreesboro and Keo. 

The records that were tied - each at 103 degrees - were at Sparkman, Pine Bluff and Mountain View. 

The weather service forecast calls for highs in the mid-90s to near 100 degrees through Thursday with little chance for rain.
