BIDDEFORD, Maine (WCSH) - Maine State Police say they seized a number of guns from a Biddeford man after a traffic stop.
WCSH reports that when Timothy Courtois was stopped for speeding Sunday morning, he told police he was on his way to shoot a former employer and had been to see "The Dark Night Rises" the night before, with a loaded gun in his backpack.
State Police say they found an AK-47 assault weapon, four handguns, and several boxes of ammunition in Courtois' car. They say he was stopped after driving a Mustang at 112mph with flashers on.
WCSH reports that several additional guns, including a machine gun, and thousands of rounds of ammunition were found in his home.
According to the report, clippings of the shooting at the Colorado movie theater were found in his vehicle. They say the guns found in the car are the same type of guns used in the Aurora, Colo. theater shooting, and that he reportedly bought the Mustang the day after the massacre.
