LITTLE ROCK, ARK. (June 24, 2012) - The Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission has unveiled its new logo that reflects the airport's recent name change to Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.

The new icon reinforces the Clinton name as it creates a interwoven bold initial "C" formed by two jet contrails that represent both President and Secretary Clinton to symbolize their unique partnership, " said Shane Carter, Director of Public Affairs and Governmental Relations. "The forward movement of the icon also represents the airport's dynamic approach to air travel, particularly with the current renovations underway."

"We are excited to have a new logo that is representative of our new name and the progressiveness of Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport," said Jim Dailey, chairman of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission. "We will begin to replace signage and various marketing materials with the new logo."

Eric Rob & Isaac, the full-service advertising, marketing and public relations firm in Little Rock, designed the new logo for the airport.

The airport is currently undergoing construction of Phase 1 of the 2020 Vision Plan, which includes extensive upgrades to the ticketing lobby and baggage screening area, which will house a new, state-of-the-art in-line baggage handling system. The $67 million, initial improvements will be completed in February 2013.

A secondary, larger phase of the 2020 Vision Plan is planned to occur over the next several years to include construction of a new terminal commons, a new 16-gate concourse, new baggage claim area, international arrival facility, inbound roadway and parking improvements. Once all construction is completed, the airport is destined to become an international airport.
