LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 26, 2012) - For sixty-five years, Camp Aldersgate has been enriching the lives of children and youth who have medical or physical conditions or developmental delays.
The 3rd annual Rubber Ducky Regatta was this Friday, July 27 from 3-10 p.m. at Wild River Country. Your event ticket gets you into Wild River Country, dinner and a duck to race in the Lazy River. Door prizes will be awarded for the top five ducks.
Camp Aldersgate's summer camping program began in 1971 with 12 campers with asthma. In 2011 we served 552 from 107 cities and 52 counties throughout Arkansas, as well as six other states. 1,701 volunteers contributed 35,111 hours of direct community service to campers with disabilities ranging from diabetes and autism to muscular dystrophy and spina bifida. Our Seniors Day Out program begin in the 1970's and 54 seniors were served in 2011.
