SAANICH, British Columbia (CNN) -- This man was arrested after he allegedly recorded himself reaching speeds of at least 186 miles per hour on his motorcycle and then, posted the video online.
The legal speed limit was 80 kilometers, or 50 miles, per hour. Randy George Scott, 25, turned himself in to a police department in British Columbia on Tuesday.
Police in Saanich already had a warrant out for his arrest. Tips from the public had identified Scott as the man in the YouTube video.
Authorities say if Scott is convicted of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, he could serve up to five years in jail.
For now, Scott remains in custody in Kelowna, where he surrendered.
