FARMINGTON, Ark. (KFSM) - Former Farmington High School principal Chris Webb was released Thursday afternoon on a $5,000 bond, just two hours after being booked into the Washington County Detention Center.

Webb, 42, was arrested July 19 after police say they found him naked and bloody, attempting to strangle his fiancé in their home. According to the report, a dead dog lay in the bathtub, its throat slit, with a knife lying on the floor nearby.

He is set to appear at an arraignment hearing on Aug. 20, according to the sheriff's office.
