LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 25, 2012) - The First Tee of Central Arkansas will be reopening its golf courses with new Champion Bermuda greens today, August 25.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, First Tee is hosting a grand reopening celebration starting at 8 a.m. this morning. A golf marathon for kids and adults starts at 1 p.m. Registration fee is $20. Lunch and dinner will also be served for 5 bucks each.

All the greens on the championship Chairman's Course and par 3 Honors Course were sprigged on June 6th and have grown in beautifully.

The First Tee will be open for play every day excluding Mondays.  All monies generated through the golf course help fund The First Tee's life-changing youth development programming.

Close to 1,500 young people, aged 3-18, are impacted by The First Tee each year. The proven results of The First Tee's programs help some of the most at-risk children in our community in the fight against the growing childhood obesity rate and to graduate from high school and find success in the stages of their lives that follow.

The First Tee is located at 1 First Tee Way in Little Rock. You can find more information by calling 501-562-4653 or emailing Cory Biggs at cbiggs@thefirstteear.org.
