FORT SMITH, Ark. (AP) - Sheriff's deputies in Sequoyah County, Okla., have identified the victim in a weekend shooting death and have arrested a suspect.
Authorities say Stanley Leon Ross was shot dead in his driveway Saturday night near Vian, Okla.
The Southwest Times Record reports (http://is.gd/Y19Ux8) 33-year-old James Arthur Moffett was arrested at the scene. He was initially picked up on suspicion of public intoxication and subsequently held for suspicion of negligent homicide.
Sheriff Ron Lockhart wouldn't say what led to the shooting other than that alcohol was involved. The sheriff says interviews with witnesses led to Moffett being arrested in Ross' death.
