SALINE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A body has been found inside the Ouachita National Forest.

July 29 around 11 a.m. a citizen found the dead body of a woman in the forest inside Saline County.

Arkansas Game and Fish officers, Saline County Sheriff's deputies and detectives responded.

The remains were sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab Monday for identification and cause of death.

The Sheriff's Office says this is an active investigation and more information may be released at a later time.
