MIAMI , FL (CBS/WFOR) -- The search is on for a man who police say is responsible for a shooting spree in Liberty City Sunday morning.
Erin Cash, 23, is considered armed and dangerous, according to Miami Police detectives. Cash has a rap sheet that includes assault and robbery and now he's wanted in connection with three separate shootings Sunday morning.
Authorities say it all started as a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at 13th Avenue and NW 41st Street. Det. Willie Moreno says, "This argument escalated semi physical. And the victim the female victim jumped out of the car while it was still in motion."
The couple's 3-year-old son was in the car at the time. Police say cash dropped off his son at his mother's home at 1255 NW 72nd street, but he had a message for his girlfriend first. Moreno says, "Before the suspect fled he did tell the female he was going to kill her and their son."
Then, police say, the shooting spree began. It started at NW 12th Avenue and 64th Street. Detectives say cash shot one of his girlfriend's brothers, before driving two more blocks to 10th Avenue and 64th where he shot her other brother.
One was grazed in the neck, the other in the arm but both are expected to be OK.
Police say cash spotted his next target at NW 12 Avenue and 58 Terrace. Moreno says, "There's a third location also that he shot at someone else. This third person is not related."
Authorities say cash then dropped off his white Pontiac back at his mom's house. Police recovered the car and now the search is on to find cash. Moreno says, "He did specify he wasn't going to go down without a fight. Hopefully, he does change his mind, he does contact us. He does come in voluntarily."
