LOCKESBURG, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a Dierks woman has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder after she allegedly ran over her husband.
The Sevier County Sheriff's Department says 55-year-old Robert Wilbanks was driving his pickup east of Lockesburg on Sunday when he stepped outside of his vehicle after arguing with his wife, Bonnie Wilbanks.
Police allege that Bonnie Wilbanks then moved over to the driver's side and ran over her husband.
Robert Wilbanks was pronounced dead at De Queen Regional Medical Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Texarkana Gazette reports (http://is.gd/8FQT7Y) that Bonnie Wilbanks told police she slid under the steering wheel to exit the truck and that the vehicle struck her husband.
Bonnie Wilbanks is being held in the Sevier County jail. Authorities did not know if she had an attorney.
