PERRY COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - Perry County Sheriff's deputies are still searching for a man who escaped from the recreation area at the new Perry County Jail on Thursday.

Authorities tell Today's THV that Charles E. Hamner, 34, removed about six bolts from a chain link fence in his escape.

They believe he is traveling westbound in a white 2003 Chevy extended cab truck. It says "Perry County Road Department" on the side, and has damage on the front. He also may be in a black GMC Envoy headed to the Little Rock area.

Hamner is said to be six feet tall, weighing 235 lbs. He has an angel tattoo on his right arm and a barbwire tattoo on his left arm.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, you're asked to call the Perry County Sheriff's Office at (501) 889-3309 or (501) 889-2333.
