HOPE, Ark. (August 3, 2012) - The 36th annual Hope Watermelon Festival is set for August 9-11 in Hope's Fair Park.
The modern day festival features numerous activities with nearly 200 booths set up at the festival grounds. Best of all, it's free!
Besides having LOTS of watermelon, the festival is home to the Melon City Jamboree, a fish fry, the Little Miss and Little Mr. Watermelon pageants, a 5k run/walk, watermelon eating and speed-spitting contests, numerous games for the kids and much more.
Country singer Easton Corbin will be the headline entertainment at the Watermelon Fest on Saturday, August 11th. Opening acts will include performances by Logan Mize and Watermelon Idol Contest winner. You can purchase advance tickets online at uacch.edu.
