LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (August 2, 2012) - The Little Rock Zoo and Coleman Dairy will host the annual Coleman Dairy Discount Day this Saturday, August 4.
In honor of Coleman Dairy's 150th anniversary, admission to the Zoo will be only 150 pennies ($1.50) per person all day on Saturday.
Coleman Dairy's sponsorship of the Zoo also marks a more than $150,000 commitment the company has made to the Zoo in the form of cash sponsorships and in-kind product donations over the past three years.
"The Little Rock Zoo couldn't be more thrilled to have Coleman Dairy back again as an annual sponsor for a special discount day at the Zoo," said Zoo Director Mike Blakely. "Coleman Dairy has a strong commitment to the Zoo and wants every Arkansan to experience this great family attraction that provides engaging experiences to inspire people to value and conserve our natural world."
In addition to providing a sponsorship for the discount day, Coleman Dairy has also provide the Zoo with in-kind product donations for Café Africa and for special events at the Zoo, and has also provided free advertising opportunities for the Zoo on its milk cartons. The annual sponsorship totals more than $50,000 and 2012 marks the third year in a row that Coleman Dairy has made this commitment.
"Coleman Dairy is a family owned business serving the families of Arkansas. As such, we are pleased to support one of the state's largest family attractions, the Little Rock Zoo," said Arden Coleman.
Coleman Dairy Discount Day will run all day on Saturday. Gates will open at 9 a.m. and last admission will be at 4 p.m. with the Zoo closing to the public at 5 p.m. The Wild Wonders Animal Show will run at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Civitan Amphitheater and other special programs are scheduled throughout the Zoo during the day.
