LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - A military judge has recommended 28 years in prison, a reduction in rank and a dishonorable discharge for a soldier based at Fort Sill who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor.

Sgt. Jason Harrod had pleaded guilty in military court to charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecent liberties with a child, adultery and being absent without leave.

The Oklahoman reported Saturday (http://bit.ly/NYYIik ) that Harrod acknowledged his guilt to the judge and that his attorney said Harrod deserved credit for not making excuses for his actions.
