JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) - The fight against crime falls on every citizen's shoulders. The mission of National Night Out is to ignite neighborhoods and communities to join the fight and now Jacksonville is joining the effort.
Jacksonville residents take part in the event. Neighborhoods are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police during the event.
Program activites include games for children, free food, safety information, free fingerprint kits for children and guest speakers.
