LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A man who escaped custody in Perry County is back behind bars.
Charles Hamner escaped from the new Perry County Jail last week. Authorities tell Today's THV that Charles E. Hamner, 34, removed about six bolts from a chain link fence in his escape.
Hamner was in an abandoned barn in Southern Pulaski Co., near I-530 and Bingham. He had apparently stolen a truck out of Arkansas county and had pulled it in the barn. He was asleep in the truck when a homeowner found him and called police.
He is now being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
