LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- A newly published book promotes cognitive fitness as a way to prevent Alzheimer's and dementia.

It's "Maximum Brainpower," with co-authors Dr. Shlomo Breznitz of Israel and Collins Hemingway of Little Rock.

Hemingway now resides in Oregon.

Through travel, challenging games, learning a new language, and exercises, folks of all ages can stay mentally fit.

The book makes the case for "unlearning" old ways, and coming up with new challenges on a regular basis. It also maintains that children need to get challenged in the classroom through different ways of learning, thereby inadvertently endorsing our A Plus initiative.

Maximum Brainpower is on sale now at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. It's a fascinating and challenging read, that is designed to keep us mentally active throughout our lives.
