5 things in Arkansas to do this weekend

LITTLE ROCK, (KTHV)-- Today's THV is always looking to make your life easier! Check out this list of five fun things to do over the weekend.

#1. Barbie Doll Collection: Check out this free event for the family at the Historic Arkansas Museum. The collection consists of 82 dolls and eight completed series as well as a vintage dollhouse, cars and adventure books.

#2. The 36th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival: It runs through Saturday. Kids can marvel at giant watermelons that weigh in at over 100 pounds! Admission is free.

#3. ASU Fan Appreciation Day: The Arkansas State football team is hosting its annual event on Saturday. They'll hold a scrimmage as the Red Wolves continue preparations for the 2012 season. Admission to the scrimmage is free and gates open at 5 p.m. The scrimmage starts at 6:30 p.m.

#4. Point of Grace: You can see the all female contemporary christian band live at the Timberwood Amphitheater at Magic Springs at 7 p.m. Sunday. Point of Grace got its start at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia. For ticket information, click here.

#5. Grape Festival: Take the drive up to northwest Arkansas to Tontitown for the 114th annual event. There's grape stomping, rides, music and food! The event runs through Tuesday.
