ADEQ finds violations by Central Ark. Water at Wye Mountain Project

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality finds violations by Central Arkansas Water at the Wye Mountain Waterline project.

CAW's Board of Commissioners met today to address concerns by residents in the Lake Maumelle watershed. The ADEQ inspection began after complaints alleging improper storm water management at the site.

Graham Rich with CAW says, "We appreciate the increased interest in watershed protection. Obviously there are some areas where we did some things that are not up to standard."

CAW has until Aug. 17 to submit a response to the violations listed by the AQED.
