FORT SMITH, Ark. (KTHV) - The man accused of killing a teen girl pleads guilty to murder.
Lloyd Jones, 36, pleaded guilty to the murder of Angela Allen, 16. Jones allegedly met Allen online in February. After meeting the girl in person, he killed her by strangling her then hiding her body in a barrel near Lavaca.
According to KFSM who is at the courthouse, Jones is sentenced to 60 years in prison. He isn't eligible for parole until he is 96-years-old.
Jones is a convicted sex offender. He was convicted of rape in 2001 and paroled in 2008.
